Cornwall, I am missing you already! I've wanted to see the beauty of Cornwall for myself since seeing Doc Martin. It was wonderful. David was a wonderful guide and entertaining too. I laughed a lot, I walked a lot, really a lot, saw amazing sites and learned much about all of Cornwall. I'd love to go back again sometime.

I'd do it again! I'd do it again!! Just returned home from Daceys last tour of the 2024 season and I can't say enough good things about it. I've been on many guided group tours but this one was head and shoulders above the others. David is an excellent guide and knowledgeable about the inside details of Cornwall. He managed to bring a group of strangers together to become friends, without being too intense or invasive, and we even began to look forward to his bad jokes! David and Steven and Ed (the bus drivers) typified the humour, the friendliness and down to earth attitude of the Cornish people. I had wanted to do this tour for a long time, and Daceys Tours did not disappoint.

What a memorable trip What a memorable trip! I have two pieces of advice for my fellow travelers: 1) Put Cornwall near the top of your bucket list! The beauty of the coast and countryside made it reasonable to believe that you were in Camelot. Indeed, we slept at the Camelot Hotel, so believe what you will. The history (so ancient), the culture (food, drink, and music), and the genuine, kind, warm, and proud-to-be Cornish people we met all contributed to the experience. Be prepared for narrow roads and walking paths in a quaint, slumbering part of the UK. 2) Rely on Daceys Cornish Tours to make your visit. Admittedly, it’s the only Cornish tour that I have been on, but it is difficult to imagine a better one. It was selected because it checked my boxes: small group, small vehicle, good reviews. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and anecdotal. He’s certainly a people-person who interacted well with all in our group. He was organized, pleasant, considerate, and a perfectly wonderful guy to share a beer with. His humor made the travel time so enjoyable. The drivers were knowledgeable and funny, as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours.

Beautiful, ancient world of Cornwall Just returned from a wonderful week of traveling the beautiful, ancient world of Cornwall, UK with David Warner, tour guide extraordinaire / owner of Dacey’s Cornish Tours. My interest in this area was piqued by The Doc Martin and Poldark series and I was lucky to find this small group tour. Each day was packed with the opportunity to discover and experience Cornwall’s culture, history, food, landscape and people while also getting to know the other participants on this small bus tour. David, having lived and worked in Cornwall for many years, was a fabulous guide. His love of Cornwall was evident in his knowledge of all things Cornwall and his desire to have us leave Cornwall loving it as much as he does. We stayed at unique hotels within walking distance to shopping and dining and were transported around Cornwall by 2 excellent drivers who managed the windy roads with ease. There was a lot of walking with hills and stairs, but we were told in advance what to expect and allowed other options as we saw fit. All in all, it was a wonderful tour, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly for those interested in experiencing Cornwall.

Going back!!! I certainly agree with Williams commentary… I too was on the Sept 8 tour with David… Such a pleasant experience and so well managed. I plan to do the second itinerary in June… that’s how much I enjoyed David’s Small group introduction to the lovelies of Cornwall

A Joyful Cornwall Tour Touring Cornwall under the expert guidance of David Warner (Dacey) is a joyful experience. His friendliness and enthusiasm are contagious, making the fourteen or fewer people traveling with him, singly or as a couple, a congenial group. The several costal villages on the itinerary are picturesque, and the verdant countryside is peaceful and beautiful.Transportation in a large bus on the first day and on a smaller Mercedes bus thereafter is comfortable, and with local drivers and David’s interesting, witty, commentary, fun as well .The quality of the lodging is excellent, and you are never far from a good restaurant. If a performance is available, a night at the Minack Theatre is special. The amiable atmosphere throughout is genuine. Overall, a touring pleasure.

The Wonder of Cornwall My husband and I are deeply grateful that we were able to join this tour. It was just a wonder every day at discovering the countryside and the villages of Cornwall. David took us to some great highlights and we loved the places that we were able to stay. Pushing ourselves every day was a good thing for us in order to see everything. I was able to take needed breaks to get ready for the next day. David and Ed made us laugh every day and we enjoyed learning about the culture and history of Cornwall.

A Great Way to See Cornwall I agree with all the reviews that the trip is comprehensive, personal, and extremely well done. David’s passion and knowledge of all things Cornish were inexhaustible. My only complaint was that I needed more free time and would have given up a couple little coastal villages for more time elsewhere. And David could slow down when leading walks!

Gotta love Cornwall! I went on Itinerary 1 in 2022 and Itinerary 2 in 2024, and both were wonderful. 2022 was my first time as a solo traveler, and 2024 was my second. It was so easy with Dacey's Cornish tours. The small group of 14 was perfect for me, I met some lovely people, and David is very good at what he does. The hotels were unique, quirky, and efficient, with some great food and friendly staff. David does it all with efficiency and a great sense of humor. I loved Cornwall before ever going there, and I will never forget that first stunning view of the ocean with sheep in the fields. One of my friends said my photos looked mystical. I recommend traveling with Dacey's Cornish Tours. You will be glad you did.

A Return Trip to Cornwall This is our second trip with Dacey's Cornish Tours and again it was a wonderful experience. The tour host is knowledgeable and passionate about Cornwall and we came away with an even greater appreciation for that part of the UK. The timing of each day was relaxed, but still busy. We appreciated the free time we had most days to explore on our own. One of the things Dacey's does well is to show you off the beaten path places that really reflect the Cornish experience. We highly recommend this tour.

Having enjoyed tour 1 in 2018, we returned to Cornwall in 2024 for tour 2. We especially enjoyed the train travel, varied itineraries, and David's expertise. Our stay at the Bodmin Jail Hotel was a real highlight.

Two different tours in Cornwall I have done two different tours in Cornwall with David and they have both been fantastic. Experience all of Cornwall hassle free and fun This was the first tour My husband and I had ever done and it was perfect. David was fun and funny and the perfect host. The drivers were fabulous and the scenery was amazing, we were so happy not to be driving those narrow twisty roads. We had time to explore the way we wanted, hiking, touring, shopping, and eating all the Cornish pasties we could. Delicious! Loved this tour, wish I could do it for the first time all over again.

Fabulous Fun Filled Holiday in Cornwall We had a fabulous time on our first visit to Cornwall with David. He introduced us to places of both historical value and of scenic beauty in a fun filled, enthusiastic and caring manner. What we particularly liked was the freedom he gave us to choose what to do and where to dine. We highly recommend David and Dacey’s Cornish Tours.

Fantastic experience in a great area of England I would consider this to be a great tour. The tour guide (David), who has lived in the area, has an obvious love of Cornwall and is anxious to share the beauty with others. The van drivers (Ed and Steve) added to the fun of the drives. Both men live in the area and can share stories (and jokes) about the areas. I loved that David would take you to a place, tell you about the area, give suggestions and then let you go and explore (or not) on your own. My husband and I are hikers so we hiked and walked as much as possible. Others in our group were shoppers and they could spend time doing what they enjoyed. You can make this vacation exactly the type of vacation you want!! The hotels were comfortable, clean and very "European" (don't expect a king sized bed). We loved every place we stayed not only for the atmosphere of the inns, but for the great food!! Here are some things that I loved about the area: the food was delicious, I mean REALLY delicious, the scenery was breath taking, the people (everywhere) were incredibly nice, the hiking, shopping and pubs were plentiful and delightful. I could go on and on. I don't know how I lucked upon this tour, but I feel like I hit the jackpot when we signed up for it. I saw an area of England that is not heavily touristy but some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever experienced. Thank you David for offering this tour!!!

The ideal small tour of Cornwall This tour was such great fun thanks to David, owner and tour guide. He is generous in every way when showing others the glorious side of Cornwall. Beautiful vistas, gardens and historic sites await the visitor. Unique hotels and restaurants are well chosen. Fans of Doc Martin and Poldark won't be disappointed. Fantastic Tour with Wonderful People We don’t like tours but this was different. We didn’t want to drive to and through Cornwall with its narrow roads and having to drive on the wrong side of the road! Accidentally we searched for what looked like the best Cornwall tour and found Daceys on line. We really lucked out. It was, simply, the best tour we could have taken. Wonderful tour mates and ,unquestionably the best tour guide we could have had in David Warner. He is not only very knowledgeable but has a great sense of humor which made this more like going on a tour with a bunch of old friends. We, quite simply ,cannot rate this tour highly enough with the five stars permitted. We would give David and Daceys one hundred stars if we could. The best Cornwall experience Hands down, David is the best tour guide! Funny, knowledgeable, solicitous, dishy (LOL). After being on many guided tours with 40 people cramped in a bus and having to unpack & pack everyday, this was a welcome change. We stayed in each Cornwall hotel for 2 nights. David gave us more time to explore each site on our own. The small group setting promoted deeper conversations, created a strong camaraderie that by the end of the tour, you feel like leaving your family. I joined this tour because it is the only one that will take you inside the Mount of St. Michael. This former monastery on an island linked to the town of Marazion by a causeway is a site that should be on people's bucket list. Another site that I didn't expect to visit was the Lanhydrock House with its stunning gardens. I love the history of country estates. The first time I saw the coastline of Tintagel, my heart skipped a beat, time stopped, and I was transported to a different century. I could stand on the top of those cliffs for hours. All the coastal towns we visited afterwards were all postcard-perfect, picturesque villages with so much history. I highly recommend this tour for everyone. Just make sure to bring hiking boots, your stamina and determination to climb those slopes.😉

You may not realise you have Cornish Dreams until you do this tour, but Dacey’s makes them all come true. Such a fun trip with a smaller than the usual tour group of people, the scenery and excursions are amazing. From the atmospheric Tintagel to the soft beaches of St Ives, plus the wonderful gardens at Heligan, Eden and Lanhydrock. Enjoy comfortable hotels with great breakfasts and watch out for the fun fact and joke of the day 😀. Highly recommended.
