How many people will be on a Dacey’s tour?

Maximum number at any one time 14

How much does it cost to go on a Daceys tour?

Only $1865 per person (based on two people sharing) all accommodation including breakfast transport and guide.(Single room supplement $385) All prices quoted in US dollars, refer to payment page for currency converter.

What are the hotels like?

All hotels used on Dacey’s Tours are a minimum of 3* and have been handpicked and vetted by David to enhance your Cornish experience.

When should I book?

As soon as you know which dates you wish to go, book the tour to avoid disappointment. These tours sell out very fast.

If travelling alone can I share a room with another guest to save costs and how do I go about it?

You can contact David and he will help to figure out if this is possible with the trip you will be going on. Single room supplement for the tour is $385.

Can I book Dacey’s Tours for private events?

Yes Dacey’s tours can be hired privately for family vacations, reunions, work functions etc. Please contact David direct for further information.

Can I take a shorter personal tour?

Personalized daily tours can be arranged with our business partner Oates transport. For more information contact David.

Do the rooms have bathrooms?

All the rooms are en-suite and have a private bathroom with sink, toilet and shower and/or bathtub.

Where will we eat at night?

There are many restaurants to choose from to suit everyone’s tastes. David can help with recommendations and reservations. Regarding eating as a group. Usually the David will discuss this with the group and should they all want to dine together, group reservations can be made.

What language is used on the Tours?

“The Queen’s English.”

Do I need a good level of mobility?

You will need to be able to get on and off the bus on a regular basis unaided and will need to be able to walk to some attractions and around some of the villages and towns we visit. If you are concerned, please contact David for more information.

Who carries our bags?

You are responsible for carrying your own bags, Dacey’s Cornish tours helpful hint: If you cannot move your bag, it is too heavy.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Please refer to the terms and conditions.

What does the price include?

The price includes all transport, all hotel accommodation with breakfast, reduced admission fees, free walking tours and services of David your tour director throughout the tour.

Do we eat with the group every night?

This is entirely your choice. This is a hassle-free tour where you decide what is best for you.

Do I need insurance?

It is strongly recommended you purchase your own travel insurance whilst taking any trip overseas. Contact David if you need advice on the best travel insurance.

What will the weather be like?

This is England and predicting the weather in England is a national pastime. Average temp in Spring (March through June) is around 45 F – 54 F. Average temp in Summer (June through September) is around 55 F – 70 F. Often English weather is described as cool wet Winters and warm wet Summers.

Are children welcome on the tour?

Due to the nature of the tour the minimum age requirement is 10 years and children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Contact David direct for more information. 

What is the minimum amount of people needed to run a Dacey’s Cornish tour?

As a general rule we will run a tour with a minimum number of Seven people. In the rare event a tour does not have enough people, you will be notified at least 6 weeks before departure and offered a full refund or the opportunity to change departure date.

Should I tip David the Tour Director or driver after the tour?

DCT does not mandate tips. However if you had a great time your kindness would be appreciated, all gratuity is gratefully received and very much treasured.

Are there any laundry facilities?

The hotel we use in St Ives has a slow washing machine and dryer.
